The republic of Namibia is in search of developers to construct a 25 megawatt solar-power facility to source energy for its capital, Windhoek.

It also hopes that the project will shore up its energy needs and mitigate power shortages.

The city said in a notice published in local newspapers, that the public-private partnership will include building, funding and operationalising the facility.

The Solar panel is estimated to cost 420 million Namibian dollars.
The country hopes that by 2030, most of its installed electricity capacity will come from renewable sources.
