Super Eagles of Nigeria and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen is expected to play in Napoli’s encounter against Lecce on Matchday 29.
The 24-year-old is reportedly eager to travel with Luciano Spalletti’s squad to the Stadio Via del Mare for the encounter against Lecce. However, the club will be cautious with his recovery.
The Nigerian star was injured during the Super Eagles’ doubleheader against Guinea-Bissau in their Africa Cup of Nations qualification match. His absence was felt heavily in AC Milan’s destruction of Napoli at the San Siro stadium on Sunday.
According to Tutto Napoli sources, Osimhen is anxious to return to action by leading his team to victory against Lecce today, after his absence was felt the last time against Milan.
The Parthenopeans, on the other hand, would rather be cautious and wait until next week to analyse his physical condition in order to decide the margins of recovery in light of the critical San Siro match against Milan on April 12.
