The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has severely sanctioned Nasarawa United following a violent incident involving their fans during a match against Plateau United.
The club has been banished to play its remaining home games in Gombe State and fined N6 million.
According to BSNSports.com.ng, the NPFL found Nasarawa United guilty of security breaches, failing to control their supporters, and allowing unauthorised individuals to harass and attack the visiting Plateau United team and match officials.
Specifically, a Plateau United player, Vincent Temitope, was assaulted and suffered bodily harm.
As a result of these violations, Nasarawa United must now play their home matches at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe for the rest of the NPFL season.

They were fined N1 million each for inadequate security and failing to control their fans, N3 million for repeated breaches of NPFL rules, and an additional N1 million for medical expenses and compensation for Vincent Temitope.
The NPFL has also ordered Nasarawa United to improve their matchday security and crowd control measures before they can return to their home stadium in Lafia.
Furthermore, they are required to identify and prosecute the individual responsible for assaulting Vincent Temitope.
Nasarawa United has 48 hours to appeal these sanctions.
