The National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the country’s largest public lender, reported on Monday a net profit 22.778 billion Egyptian pounds ($761 million) in first nine months of 2022. The bank’s net profit for July 2020 to September 2021 period stood at 19.080 billion pounds ($637 million).
The bank’s financial statements revealed that pre-tax profit of 48.588 billion pounds by the end of September 2022, compared to 48.263 billion pounds at the same period in 2021.
The return on loans and similar revenues was about 247.515 billion pounds by the end of September 2022, compared to 278.697 billion pounds by the end of September 2021.
