National Roaming Agreement Between Telecom Egypt and Orange Egypt

In a press release, Telecom Egypt stated that it has reached a business deal with Orange Egypt for national roaming services.

Through the five-year contract, Telecom Egypt will be able to continue offering its clients nationwide coverage of a high-quality voice and data mobile network. Also, through the end of 2027, this agreement is in effect.

In light of the upcoming expiration of the current agreement, Telecom Egypt filed a tender for national roaming services to all mobile network providers, and Orange Egypt won it. The technological and financial proposal made by Orange Egypt was the most valuable and profitable.

The development of Telecom Egypt’s services will be aided by the advantages this new agreement offers in terms of competition, technology, and business. It will also help it gain ground in the Egyptian mobile market. The current contract, which expires in December 2022, allowed Telecom Egypt to launch its mobile services for the first time in 2017.

According to Adel Hamed, the CEO and Managing Director of Telecom Egypt, this action demonstrates how much Telecom Egypt and Orange Egypt value their strategic partnership and how eagerly both organisations are to expand their telecom service offerings in the Egyptian market. Through technical, business, and financial advantages—in particular, cost savings for mobile calls starting in 2023, which will enhance the business line and subsequently the overall margin—the new milestone will solidify our position as a major player in the mobile market and keep us in step with our expanding customer base. CEO and Managing Director of Telecom Egypt, Adel Hamed, made a statement.

Telecom Egypt is simultaneously devoted to expanding the coverage of its mobile network by setting up mobile sites all throughout Egypt in order to provide its customers with better telecoms services. Hassan Adel

“We are happy to have signed this new agreement, which strengthens our companies’ strategic partnership and supports our plans to offer the most up-to-date ICT services to the Egyptian market. In order to fulfil evolving consumer expectations, Orange Egypt is committed to increasing investments in network development and modernization that are in accordance with current global technologies. Orange Egypt’s CEO and Managing Director, Yasser Shaker, made a point.
