The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has released information on inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, following the collapse of the facility’s perimeter wall due to heavy rain on April 24, 2024.

Abubakar Umar, the Public Relations Officer of NCoS, announced this on Thursday, urging the public and other security agencies to help recapture the fugitives, who pose a danger to public safety and national security.

Umar said the NCoS has deployed various strategies to recapture the escapees and has increased security at custodial facilities nationwide to prevent future breaches.

The public is encouraged to report any sightings of the escapees to the nearest security agency or contact the NCoS through provided phone numbers and email addresses.

The NCoS has published the fugitives’ information to assist in their recapture, and emphasised the importance of public cooperation in ensuring the return of their return to custody.
