The National Examinations Council (NECO) has unveiled the official timetable and guidelines for the 2024 Gifted Examination.
News Central reports that the Gifted Examination serves as the entrance assessment for admission into the Federal Government Academy Suleja, specifically designed for Gifted and Talented children.
Eligible candidates are limited to final-year pupils of primary schools who will not exceed 11 years by the end of December in the examination year.
This year’s exam has been scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Hajara Ali, NECO’s Ag. Director of Registration in a press release on Thursday, said candidates must strictly adhere to the time indicated on the question paper if it differs from the timetable.
The examination body has made provisions for albinos and blind candidates by granting them an additional 30 minutes after each paper.
Blind candidates are required to use NECO-supplied OBR customised braille sheets during the examination.
The exam body has enforced strict regulations regarding electronic communication devices in the examination hall, including scientific calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smart wristwatches/glasses, and pens. Only simple calculators are permitted for use by candidates.
