A total of 310 Nigerians have been repatriated from the Niger Republic, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The returnees were received on Monday in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the National Refugee Commission.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, NEMA’s Kano Territorial Office confirmed the arrival of the returnees at the Immigration Training School in Kano
The agency provided a breakdown of the returnees, which included 98 adult females, 41 adult males, 85 male children, 86 female children
Key stakeholders, including NEMA officials, IOM representatives, and the National Refugee Commission, were present to facilitate the repatriation process and ensure the returnees’ welfare.
