Kemi Adetiba Announces Release Date for King of Boys 2, Here is Why You Should Watch it

After three years wait, Nigeria movie producer, Kemi Adetiba has announced the release date of the second part of King of Boys to be Friday 27th August 2021.

She announced this on her Instagram page where she also added that KOB 2 is no longer called KING OF BOYS 2 because it is not a movie It’s a “7-PART LIMITED SERIES!!!” and Nigeria’s first Netflix Original series.

Recall that creator Kemi Adetiba released a 4-minute teaser for “King of Boys 2” that set social media abuzz with excitement back in 2020. 

The seven-part series is now called King of Boys: The Return Of The King!!!

The series would feature Makanaki (Reminisce), Odogwu Malay (IllBliss), Aare Akinwande (Akin Lewis), Sade Bello (Osas Ighodaro), Ade Tiger (Titi Kuti) and President Mumusa (Keppy Ekpeyoung) reprise their roles from the first movie. New additions to the cast include First Lady Jumoke Randle (Nse Ikpe-Etim), Reverend Ifeanyi (Richard Mofe Damijo ‘RMD’), Dapo Banjo (Efa Iwara), Adetola Fashina (Deyemi Okanlawon), Odudubariba (Charly Boy) and Governor Tunde Randle (Lord Frank).

Produced by Kemi Adetiba Visuals, “King Of Boys: The Return of The King” is a sequel to the hugely successful 2018 crime political drama. The film was critically acclaimed for its gripping storyline and has remained on the list of highest-grossing Nigerian films to date.

Sola Sobowale and Adesua Etomi-Wellington also won the 2019 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for ‘Best Actress In A Leading Role’ and ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’, respectively.
