Orire Agbaje, the remarkable 21-year-old, is a 400-level Economics student at the University of Ibadan. Her appointment to the prestigious Nigerian Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy & Tax Reforms highlights her expertise in fiscal policy, taxation, and economic reforms.
Agbaje joined Olive Omodi and Osarogie Ogbonmwan on News Central’s Breakfast Central, discussing her journey to prominence. She addressed Nigeria’s economic challenges, proposing solutions such as tackling over-taxation, streamlining multiple tax systems, and expanding tax brackets.
“I have always loved Taxation since my first encounter with it”, Agbaje said. Agbaje added “Taxation is the main source of income for the Government so we have to pay tax…We need to increase the Tax bracket in Nigeria”
