Head Coach Bankole Olowookere has revealed the final 21-player squad for Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s World Cup campaign in the Dominican Republic.
The roster features standout forward Harmony Chidi, who shone during the qualifiers by scoring 13 of the Flamingos’ impressive 25 goals.
Nigeria secured its place in the tournament with dominant performances against Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, and Liberia.
Midfield duties will be handled by Afolabi, alongside Faridat Abdulwahab and Shakirat Moshood. In goal, first-choice goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma faces competition from Sylvia Echefu and Elizabeth Boniface.
The defensive line will be anchored by Taiwo Adegoke, while the attacking front will see Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong leading the charge.
Nigeria has been drawn into Group A and will face host nation Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand in the tournament.
The team will embark on a two-week training camp in Santo Domingo on October 1 in preparation for the competition.
