Nigeria: 18 Burnt Beyond Recognition in Fatal Crash (News Central TV)

At least 18 persons involved in multiple fatal crashes were burnt beyond recognition at Nabardo village along Bauchi-Jos road, Northeastern Nigeria.

The incident involving two commercial vehicles, a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number, FKE 688 YC and a MAN trailer happened on Wednesday at about 4:40 pm.

The Toyota Hiace bus was said to have had a head-on collision with an oncoming trailer and immediately went up in flames.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Bauchi State Command, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, adding that a total of 21 people, comprising 18 male adults and three children were involved in the crash.

Abdullahi further stated that the mass burial of the victims was ongoing by the Nigeria Police Forces Social Welfare officers.
