Between June 1 and June 15, 2022, 4,770 Boko Haram insurgents surrendered themselves in to the military, according to the Nigerian Defense Headquarters.
The military high command reports that 2,490 children, 1,415 women, and 814 men were among those who surrendered.
All of the terrorists who have surrendered have been profiled, according to Major General Benard Onyeuko, Director of Defence Media Operations, who spoke to journalists on Thursday at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja about military operations between June 16 and June 30.
He said; “Members of Boko Haram terrorists have continued to surrender to own troops at different locations in the theatre.
“Between June 1 and 15, 2022, a total of 4,770 of them, comprising 864 adult males, 1,415 women and 2,490 children surrendered.
“All surrendered Boko Haram terrorists/Islamic State West Africa Province members and families were profiled and documented while all arrested and recovered items were handed over to the appropriate authority for further actions.”
Onyeuko added that while other terrorists in Zamfara suffered varied degrees of injuries, 82 of them were neutralised.
He claimed that 150 terrorists will soon attack Kofar Danya Village and that forces had received warnings about it.
Onyeuko noted that their enclave was subjected to air interdiction by the Nigerian Air Force, which resulted in their demise.
Over three million liters of AGO and 3.8 million liters of crude oil, among other things, were recovered from oil thieves during the time period under consideration, Onyeuko noted.

Intelligence gathered by News Central indicate that Ari-Difinoma, was forced out of his hideout following sustained bombardment by troops of Operation Hadin Kai.

Meanwhile, in a statement released on Saturday, President Muhammadu Buhari described the killings of 30 soldiers, seven mobile police officers, and two civilians in Niger State’s Shiroro Local Government Area last Wednesday a direct attack on Nigeria and vowed that those responsible would not go unpunished.
Near response to a distress call, the security personnel were attacked by the terrorists as they traveled to a mining site in Shiroro. At the location, several Chinese and Nigerian people were also kidnapped.
