Nigeria and South Africa played a goalless draw in their second
match at the ongoing U-20 AFCON in Niger.
The game which took place at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché, Niamey
saw the Flying Eagles dominate from the off. Some resolute defending
from the Amajita though kept the rampant Nigerians out.
The 0-0 draw was the first match of the tournament not to record a goal.
In the group’s other game, hosts Niger let a 3-1 lead slip in the second
half as they drew 3-3 with Burundi.
The results mean Nigeria stay top of the Group A with 4 points, two
clear of South Africa and Niger with Burundi stuck at the foot of the
table with one point.
