Gun-wielding men abducted the President of Igueben Area Customary Court, Mrs. Precious Aigbonoga on Monday morning around the Ugoneki axis of the Benin-Asaba Express Way on her way to Court in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
The kidnapping is coming just hours after the kidnapping of the former Edo State House of Assembly member, Festus Edughele in the early hours of Monday at the same spot.
The Area Customary Court President’s kidnap was announced in a statement signed by Festus Osagie Usiobaifo Esq. the Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Benin branch.
“The President of Igueben Area Customary Court, His Honour, Mrs Precious Aigbonoga, was kidnapped this morning around Ugoneki axis, on her way to Court in Igueben L.G.A.
“Her Honour is the wife of our Colleague, Afebu Aigbonoga, PDP Candidate, Etsako West Constituency 1.
“The Chairman of the Lion Bar, Chief Nosa Francis Edo-Osagie is deeply saddened by this news and condemn in strong terms, the worrisome insensitivity of these bandits in kidnapping Mrs Aigbonoga an easygoing, gentle, and hardworking judicial officer.
“Meanwhile, the Dream Team is in close touch with the Commissioner of Police, C.P. Mohammed Adamu Dankwara.
“By the grace of God Almighty, His Honour shall be rescued unhurt, and the bandits brought to book. Let us keep His Honour in our prayers, please”, the statement signed by the NBA read.
