The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered N7.8 million for Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC).
Dr Raymond Asemakaha, the company’s Managing Director and CEO, made the announcement in Makurdi, the capital of Benue state.
He stated that the considerable recovery was made from former officers of the agency who engaged in corrupt acts.
He stated that the draft cheque for the money has been handed over to BIPC, and that additional recoveries are proceeding.
Dr. Asemakaha stated that the recovery of cash for the Benue Investment and Property Company is a great step towards strengthening the agency’s integrity and fostering an accountability culture under His Excellency Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia’s leadership.
He went on to say that the EFCC‘s swift and efficient response not only demonstrates its dedication and professionalism, but also highlights its commitment to upholding justice and combating financial crimes in Benue and across the country.
