Operatives attached to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Monday rescued eight accident victims at Anthony inward Ojota, Lagos

A broken-down truck and a fully loaded mass transit bus with the registration number KTU  850 YD were involved in the accident, according to Popoola Olushola, also known as Kilo, of LASTMA, who was in charge of the rescue effort.

After spotting a broken-down vehicle ahead of him, the driver of the fully loaded commercial mass transit bus lost control because his brakes failed, according to a preliminary investigation.

Eight injured individuals were found among the passengers of the commercial mass transit bus, and officials promptly intervened, assisted by police officers from Anthony Police Command.

The individuals who had been saved were sent right away to a neighboring hospital for prompt medical care.
