Nelson Sylvester, commonly known as Ofunwa, a councilor representing Eha-Ulo ward in the Legislative Council of Nsukka Local Government Area in Enugu State, was tragically killed by unidentified gunmen at his home. The Enugu state police command has not yet provided any official statement regarding this incident.
The now deceased councilor Ofunwa was murdered by unidentified gunmen at his residence in Eha-Alumonah on Sunday, 16th July.
According to reports, the attackers stormed the legislator’s house and began firing bullets at him. Covered in his own blood, the councillor sought refuge in his neighbour’s house where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Enugu state police command has not yet issued a statement in response to this tragic incident.
