Governor Godwin Obaseki has appointed Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the Edo State Government, following the resignation of Osarodion Ogie.
The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, who stated, “The governor has approved the appointment of Mr. Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the State Government, effective immediately.”
Eboigbe, who previously served as Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Economic Planning and later as Commissioner for Finance, will now oversee the Governor’s Finishing Strong agenda. A chartered accountant, Eboigbe spent 15 years at Deloitte before transitioning to public service. He also holds an MSc in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School.
The statement noted that Governor Obaseki accepted Ogie’s resignation as he steps down to pursue his ambition of running for Deputy Governor of Edo State. Obaseki expressed gratitude for Ogie’s dedication and loyalty over the past seven years, wishing him success in his future endeavors and confidence in his continued service to the people of Edo State.
