This initiative is designed to restore the country’s eroded value system, particularly among the youth.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced the decision on Monday after an Executive Council meeting chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He noted the gradual decline of traditional values among younger generations, which has led to increasing misconduct.

The initiative also extends to government officials, who will receive training on national values upon assuming office.

Furthermore, the Council approved the standardisation of national symbols, such as the national flag and Naira notes, ensuring they are displayed appropriately and respected. The National Orientation Agency will oversee the implementation and enforcement of these policies.
