Reports say 175 students were expelled from Kwara State University(KWASU) for various offences.
Confirming the development, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, the acting director of university relations, cited the approval of the expulsion followed by the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC) in a statement.
The expelled students were debarred for offences ranging from using fake results to gain admission, theft, fraud, examination malpractice, possession of firearms, assault and belonging to unregistered associations.
The varsity’s management reaffirmed its intolerance for acts of indiscipline, stressing that KWASU is focused on producing graduates who exude excellence in learning and character.
