The official campaign website for Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has been made public.
On Friday morning, a tweet from Obi’s Twitter account announced this.
“I invite every member of the OBIdient Family, and every supporter of our march to a new Nigeria to visit the official campaign website for the Obi-Datti Campaign organisation,”” the tweet read in part.
The former governor of Anambra state also said that he will utilise the website to solicit support for his bid for the nation’s highest office.
On Saturday, Peter Obi’s supporters marched in Lagos and other cities in the first significant campaign event for the 2023 presidential election.
In various neighborhoods of Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, Obi’s fans filled the service lanes of the expressway as Afrobeats music blasted from trucks and people chanted his name.
Supporters of Obi also gathered next to the Lekki tollgate, the scene of violent security force disruption of nonviolent #EndSARS rallies in October 2020 calling for improved government and an end to police brutality.
Although Obi was not present at the rallies, his followers marched in other cities as well.
