The Oyo State Government of Nigeria has announced plans to introduce Integrity Clubs in all public schools across the state. This initiative, spearheaded by the Oyo State Mobilisation Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OYMASED) in collaboration with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), aims to foster ethical behaviour and civic responsibility among students.
Dr. Morohunkola Thomas, Director General of OYMASED, revealed the plan during an advocacy visit to Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of OYOSUBEB. The visit was part of an effort to promote moral education and personal responsibility from an early age, aligning with OYMASED’s mission to drive socio-economic development in Oyo State.
Dr. Adeniran welcomed the initiative, praising OYMASED for its commitment to engaging with young people, particularly in public schools. He highlighted that the Integrity Clubs will serve as a platform for teaching civic education and imparting important societal values to both students and teachers.
