Nigeria Police Offer N20 Million Bounty for Wanted Coup Plot Suspects

The Nigerian Police have announced a reward of N20 million for information leading to the arrest of two individuals wanted for serious crimes, including Andrew Wynne, a British national also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, and a Nigerian named Lucky Ehis Obinyan.

Both are accused of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime, subversion, and criminal conspiracy.

In a Special Police Gazette Bulletin, the police urged anyone who spots these individuals to immediately report to the nearest police station or contact the Force Intelligence Department at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

A reward of N10 million will be given for information leading to the arrest of each suspect.

The bulletin partly read:

“If seen, arrest and hand over to the nearest Police, or to the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Force Intelligence, Force Headquarters, Abuja, or call 08035179870, 09133333785, 09133333786.

“A reward sum of N10,000,000 awaits any person(s) with information leading to the arrest of each of the,”

According to Police Spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police have launched a thorough investigation into how foreign mercenaries and other subversive elements conspired to overthrow Nigeria’s democratically-elected government.”

The investigation revealed that Andrew Wynne rented a space at Labour House in Abuja under the guise of running a bookshop and a school, which were actually fronts for his subversive activities.

Adejobi stated that Wynne provided financial and operational support for these activities, including issuing directives and monitoring the progress of an August protest aimed at regime change in Nigeria.

The police are treating this case with the utmost seriousness and have made it a priority to apprehend the suspects involved.
