Collaborating with the Gallup World Poll for the official ranking process, the World Happiness Report unveils Finland as the world’s happiest country for the sixth consecutive time as of March 2023.
In Africa, Mauritius steals the spotlight as the happiest nation on the continent, boasting a remarkable happiness score of 5.902.
Closely trailing is Algeria, securing the second spot with a score of 5.392, reflecting a prevailing sense of well-being in North Africa.
The World Happiness Report, a United Nations (UN) initiative, gauges national happiness using data primarily sourced from the Gallup World Poll, relying on respondent self-ratings of their own lives.
