Nigeria: Six Killed as Armed Assailants Storm Kaduna Community (News Central TV)

Terrorists who stormed the Takanai hamlet of the Atyap Chiefdom, Zango Kataf LGA, Kaduna State, have killed about six persons.

Sources say the terrorists infiltrated the community from Zango Urban at around 7 p.m. local time on September 26, 2023, and started shooting, killing four people in one compound and two in another.

The military then intervened to stop the wicked actions, forcing the terrorists to back down and leave the area. The military has, in the meantime, brought the neighbourhood back to calm.

This development comes as President Bola Tinubu gave the green light for the acquisition of 12 attack helicopters, a crucial step towards the operationalisation of the Nigerian Army Aviation.

Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, made this announcement during the Maiden Nigerian Army Aviation Seminar, which took place from September 25th to 28th, 2023, at the Command Officer’s Mess in Abuja.

Meanwhile, operatives of the DSS have detained two female ammunition traffickers who were conveying weapons within Northern Nigeria.

The suspects, Rashida Umar and Rukaiya Ladan from Akwanga, Nasarawa State, were transporting over 1000 rounds of ammunition from Fadan-karshe in Sanga LGA of Kaduna to bandits in Kontagora of Niger state.
