The Benue State police command, North Central Nigeria have apprehended the three men in connection with the recent death of a young lady.
This information was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, SP Catherine Anene, confirming the incident in Makurdi.
Recall that last weekend, a young lady was reportedly found dead in a hotel room located in the Nyiman area of Makurdi, Benue State.
The young lady, said to be in her early 20s, was alleged to have lodged in the hotel with a yet to be identified young man. The lady was later found dead in the room, with no trace of the man she came with.
“Three suspects were arrested in connection with this case, so they will give us details. We can’t say it is a case of murder because we didn’t see marks of violence,” PPRO Anene said.
While many suspected the lady must have died during an intense moment with the alleged lover, others said she might have been killed for ritual purposes, as her vitals were missing.
However, the Police did not confirm this but stated that there were no marks of violence on the victim’s body.
