Residents of Nise Community in Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, are in shock following the brutal killing of three young boys in their family home.
The tragic incident, which occurred last Saturday, has left the community grieving and searching for answers.
Reports suggest the perpetrator gained access to the premises by scaling the compound wall. The victims, aged between two and six, were found lifeless inside their father’s car, parked within the compound.
Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene, noting that the boys’ mouths were bound and the car was smeared with blood, pointing to a deliberate and chilling act.
The children’s father, described as a native doctor and businessman in his early thirties, reportedly locked his children inside the compound while he and their mother went to work. He would return briefly to provide meals before resuming his business activities.
Speculation about potential disputes involving the father has surfaced, though it remains unclear if these are connected to the crime.
Local security officials have been alerted, but when contacted, Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga stated the case had not yet been formally reported to his office.
He assured the public that a statement would be issued once further details emerge.
