The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has given his approval for the appointment of 18 Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants. This team, comprising six Special Advisers and 12 Senior Special Assistants, will be dedicated to advancing the Nigerian Government’s agenda across various sectors of the economy.

Their primary role will be to support the “Renewed Hope” agenda of the Tinubu administration, and they will be based in the office of the Vice President.

The newly appointed team in the Vice President’s office includes notable individuals such as Rukaiya El-Rufai, who will serve as the Special Adviser to the President on NEC and Climate Change. Tope Kolade Fasua is appointed as the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, while Aliyu Modibbo Umar will assume the role of Special Adviser for General Duties.

Hakeem Baba Ahmed is appointed as the Special Adviser for Political Matters, and Jumoke Oduwole is designated as the Special Adviser to the President on the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council and Investment.

Other appointees in the Vice President’s office include Sadiq Wanka (Special Adviser on Power Infrastructure), Usman Mohammed (Senior Special Assistant on Administration and Office Coordination), Kingsley Stanley Nkwocha (Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications), Ishaq Ningi (Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media and Emergency Management), and Peju Adebajo (Senior Special Assistant on Investment and Privatisation).

Furthermore, the list of appointments includes Mohammed Bulama (Senior Special Assistant on Political/Special Duties), Kingsley Uzoma (Senior Special Assistant on Agribusiness and Productivity Enhancement), Gimba Kakanda (Senior Special Assistant on Research and Analytics), and Temitola Adekunle-Johnson (Senior Special Assistant on Job Creation and MSMEs).

The list concludes with Nasir Yammama (Senior Special Assistant on Innovation), Zainab Yunusa (Senior Special Assistant on National Economic Council), Mariam Temitope (Senior Special Assistant on Regional Development Programmes), and Bashir Maidugu (Deputy State House Counsel and Senior Special Assistant to the President).

These appointments signify a concerted effort to bolster the administration’s goals and drive national development in various key areas.
