Nigeria’s House of Representatives’ Public Assets Subcommittee has announced plans to probe alleged mismanagement of public assets under the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The chairman of the subcommittee, Rep. Ibrahim Isiaka, stated in Abuja that the investigation aims to ensure that public assets are properly maintained and utilised.
He warned that any company found culpable of mismanaging public assets could face the revocation of its concession and lease agreements.
As part of the probe, the subcommittee will summon all relevant stakeholders to give an account of their stewardship.

Among the companies expected to appear before the lawmakers are Crown Flour Mill, GMT Nigeria Ltd., Management Enterprises Ltd., Dangote Green View, and Bulk Oil Terminal Company.
Others include Asharami Energy, Leaders Marketing Agency, Nosak Agency Ltd., Oando Marketing Plc, Practoil Ltd., Reliable Firm Nigeria Ltd., and Standard Flour Mills.
Rep. Isiaka confirmed that each company would receive a notification specifying the date and time to appear before the committee at the National Assembly.
