#NigeriaDecides2023: Banky W Loses as Labour Party Wins Eti-Osa Federal Constituency Seat (News Central TV)

The Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives has been awarded to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Eti-Osa announcement was made on Sunday at the Collation Centre of the Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School in Marwa, Lekki 1. Prof Funmilayo Odukoya, the INEC Returning Officer.

Attah defeated his rivals Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 18,666 votes, and Mr. Babjide Obanikoro of the APC, who received 16,901 votes, by receiving 24,075 votes.

“That Thaddeus Attah of LP, having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby declared winner and is returned elected; signed by me. Thank you so much, “ Odukoya said

She claimed that Mr. Oladehin Olufemi, of the African Democratic Congress, received 1,422 votes; Mr. Azeez Kabirat, of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, obtained 414 votes; and Mr. Olasunkanmi Ololade, of the Social Democratic Party, received 207 votes.

Before the presiding officer announced the results, there was chaos between the party agents and INEC officers regarding the validity of the outcome.

APC and PDP were among the agents that objected to the announcement of the results until their grievances were resolved.
