The Nigerian Army has withdrew its officials from the Okuama village in Delta State’s Ughelli South Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the pullout was confirmed after a phone discussion with Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, on Monday, May 6.
NewsCentral TV reported that the military had invaded Okuama following the killing of 17 soldiers by some assailants suspected to be members of the community.
