The Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has led the country’s delegation to Mobile World Congress, MWC 2022 holding in Barcelona, Spain.
MWC Barcelona is the world’s most influential event for the connectivity industry. The MWC offers policy experts, regulatory heads, technology experts and industry executives from around the world to debate the issues and steer a course towards economic recovery towards a more digitally inclusive world. And it’s the best place for networking opportunities with mobile and tech industry influencers.
On the sideline of the tech gathering, the Nigerian Minister held strategic meetings on digital economic partnerships with his counterparts from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gambia and representatives of SpaceX.
The Galaxy Backbone and Huawei also signed an MOU at the ongoing Mobile World Congress to enhance Digital transformation in Nigeria.
Among the delegation include the Executive Vice Chair of Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Umar Danbatta , Managing Director Galaxy Backbone Limited Professor Muhammad Bello Abubakar and the Executive Governor Borno State Professor Babagana Umara Zulum among others.
Russia’s pavillion was banned at MWC 2022 from the ‘unifying event’. Although this year’s Mobile World Congress was supposed to be a celebration, a long-awaited return after the pandemic curtailed the last two years’ events, it is taking place in the shadow of war in Europe. More than 1,500 exhibitors from 150 countries took part in the four-day event in the Catalan capital closing on Thursday, 3 March.
