Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, has returned to Nigeria after a three-month medical leave of absence in Germany.
On Thursday afternoon, he arrived at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
In June, the governor temporarily withdrew from the business of the state government and left Nigeria to receive medical treatment in Germany. He delegated authority to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, to act in his place.
His wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, swiftly informed her followers on social media of her husband’s arrival. She uploaded a picture of her hubby and added the remark “homebound.”
Reliable sources indicate that Governor Akeredolu departed from Abuja for Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, before moving on to Ondo State.
Additionally, a meeting with his political family and cabinet colleagues would occur on Friday in Ibadan, according to a source.
