Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that Nigeria’s leaders still have unfinished responsibilities to the nation.

He made this remark at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre in Abuja during the public presentation of the autobiography of former Jigawa State Governor and ex-Foreign Affairs Minister, Sule Lamido, titled Being True to Myself.

The event has drawn prominent political figures from across party lines, gathered to honor Lamido’s contributions and legacy.

Obsanjo said: “Nigeria that we are working for, we haven’t gotten there. And I believe it is the responsibility of each of us to ensure that we get there.

“Our job is not finished until we are finished.”

The book launch also attracted several notable figures, including former Vice Presidents Namadi Sambo and Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former National Security Adviser Lt. General Aliyu Gusau.

Additionally, former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim and Ken Nnamani were in attendance, alongside the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, who represented President Bola Tinubu. The event also featured Dr. Iyiorchia Ayu, former PDP National Chairman and the book reviewer, among other distinguished guests.
