The Nigerian Military partnership with troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised six terrorists collaborators in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.
During the operation conducted on July 11 and 12, the military also detained Bulama Suri, a prominent terrorist accomplice, along with seven other people.
Major General Edward Buba, director of defense media operations, made this announcement during the bimonthly briefing on activities carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces between July 13 and July 20, 2023, in Abuja.
He claimed Suri is a terrorist spy and collaborator who lives in the villages of Gaulawa and Gwazari in the local governments of Kukawa and Konduga in Borno State, and he added that the army recovered food items and two cows from the terrorists.
He said the troops in the period under review “neutraliSed six other terrorists and arrested eight suspected terrorists collaborators” while ten kidnapped civilians were rescued.
The troops also recovered seven AK 47 rifles, two FN rifles, one 36 hand grenade, 100 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammo, two mobile phones, two cows, food stuffs, condiment, one cart and the sum of N2.1m.
