The shocking news of the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of popular, award-winning and international music star, Davido; and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland has thrown the entertainment industry in Nigeria into mourning.
It was gathered that the first son of the artiste died on Monday at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that Ifeanyi drowned on Monday.
In the late hours of October 31, social media became abuzz with news that the three-year-old had lost his life.
Ifeanyi reportedly drowned a few days after his third birthday on October 20. Before Ifeanyi’s death, Davido was earlier today spotted teaching him how to swim.
The Adeleke’s are yet to make any official statement on the incident, several celebrities posted messages on their social media page, which many saw as a confirmation of the news.
Hours after the news broke, Paul Okoye, Iyabo Ojo, William Uchemba, and several other celebrities all shared condolences.
The ‘Assurance’ crooner was seen inside the big pool in his mansion with Ifeanyi. Davido carried the three-year-old boy and made him flap his legs in the water as he gave instructions on what to do.
