A 30-year-old Nigerian pilgrim gave birth to a baby boy named Mohammed at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Makkah, which is under the Makkah Health Cluster.
This birth is the first delivery among pilgrims during this Hajj season.
According to reports from the Makkah Health Cluster, the pilgrim, who was in her 31st week of pregnancy, sought medical assistance at the hospital’s emergency department due to labour pains.
Emergency physicians attended promptly to her needs and transferred her to the maternity ward, where she gave birth naturally. Both the mother and the newborn are in good health, although the premature baby is receiving specialised care.
The Maternity and Children’s Hospital is fully functional and equipped to provide exceptional services to Hajj pilgrims, particularly in managing emergencies.
Renowned for its excellence in maternal, neonatal, and pediatric care, the hospital routinely handles numerous childbirth cases during the Hajj season, ensuring each receives meticulous attention and treatment.
