The Nigerian Police Force has announced the arrest of 751 individuals connected to cybercrime-related fraud in 2024.
Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, detailed the achievements, revealing that 14 convictions were secured from 508 cases during the year under review.
Additionally, the Force recovered $840,000 for victims of cybercrimes and froze over ₦914 million and $115,000 held in various bank accounts and cryptocurrency wallets.
Adejobi also disclosed that the operations led to the recovery of 26 vehicles, 16 houses, and 39 plots of land.
These actions underscore the Force’s commitment to tackling cybercrime and safeguarding victims.
