Nigerian musician 3GAR Baby, whose real name is Prince Daniel Obioma, has been identified as the driver of a McLaren 570S that crashed at high speed on High Level Road in Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday morning.
The rapper confirmed the incident in an Instagram post after CCTV footage of the crash went viral.
A visibly bruised Obioma later shared a selfie from what appeared to be a medical facility, captioning it, “Nah, small thing remain. Could’ve been all over! I can’t stop thanking God for life.”
Images from the scene have surfaced online, showing Obioma sitting in the middle of the road, blood streaming down his face. A yet-to-be-identified passenger was also injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment, according to Arrive Alive.
While Obioma escaped with injuries, the reaction on social media has been far from sympathetic. Many X and Instagram users have criticised his reckless driving, with some even calling for legal action against him for endangering lives.
