Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has reported that the condition of Nigerian Siamese twins, Hasnah and Hussaynah, remains stable following their successful separation surgery in Riyadh.
The intricate procedure took place at the King Abdullah Specialised Children’s Hospital of King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard on Thursday.
Dr. Al Rabeeah confirmed that the twins are currently in intensive care, receiving anaesthesia, intravenous nutrition, and essential medications to ensure their stability. He reassured that all medical indicators for the twins are positive, with the medical team diligently monitoring their progress in the paediatric intensive care unit.
The twins are expected to remain under intensive care for approximately ten days to two weeks, after which they will be transferred to the children’s ward following a comprehensive evaluation of their condition. Dr. Al Rabeeah also provided detailed explanations about the twins’ health status to their parents, ensuring they were kept informed throughout the process.
