Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has just achieved yet another big feat in her barely over 4years career in music. The 27 year old chart -opping singer songwriter just scored a nomination for a Golden globes award, an over seven-decade old Hollywood award ceremony recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television.
Nigeria’s Tems, Global Superstar Rihanna, Composer Ludwig Göransson and movie director, Ryan Coogler stand to win in the ‘Best Original Score in a Motion Picture category’ for their collaboration on the song, “Lift Me Up”, off Marvel’s 2022 blockbuster movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”

Tems’ ‘Lift me Up’ would go head to head against other motion pictures original songs like Taylor swift’s ‘Carolina’, Lady Gaga’s ‘Hold my hand’ amongst others. Fans would have to wait to find out, as The awards will be presented on January 10, 2023, with comedian Jerrod Carmichael serving as host.
