Nigeria’s Anti-Graft Agency Arrests Four Aviation Bosses Over Alleged N2Billion Fraud (News Central TV)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended four senior officers of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over alleged N2 billion Duty Tour Allowance (DTA) fraud in the agency.

The suspects included the Director, Finance and Accounts, Bilkisu Adamu Sani; Deputy General Manager, Treasury, Hart Benson Fimienye; Deputy General Manager (Management Accounts), Obene  Jenbarimiema Turniel and Nathaniel Terna Kaainjo, General Manager, Accounts and Stores respectively.

Kaainjo was arrested and detained on Thursday, March 16, 2023, while the others were arrested between Sunday and Monday. A team of detectives at the headquarters in Abuja is currently quizzing the accused persons.

Sources at the EFCC confirmed the arrest, stating that the NCCA officials allegedly rewarded themselves and others with duty tour allowance in excess of N2 billion.
