Quadri Aruna of Nigeria has slipped a position in the newest Global Table Tennis rankings, as a result of his poor performances in recent world competitions.

Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri

The 34-year-old slid from 14th in the previous world rankings to 15th, with 1745 points accumulated. The decline is due to Aruna’s poor performances at the WTT championships in Macao and the WTT Cup finals in China. Aruna was eliminated in the first round of both competitions in less than two weeks.

Meanwhile, he remains the world’s highest-ranked African player. The only other African in the top 30 list is Egypt’s Omar Assar, at number 24.

The top three spots in the world are held by the Chinese trio of Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, and Wang Chuqin.
