The Benue State Government in north-central Nigeria is set to embark on a potential partnership with South Korea aimed at significant improvements in key sectors.
This development emerged during diplomatic discussions between Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia and the South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria. The talks focused on potential collaborations and support for the establishment of a specialised bank to drive agricultural and technological development in Benue State.
The South Korean Ambassador expressed enthusiasm over the prospect of the collaboration, acknowledging the significance of the state as a sub-national entity in Nigeria.
The meeting, held at the Korean Embassy in Abuja, featured an exchange of cultural ideas and technical inputs, with a strong emphasis on enhancing quality education through the Smart School initiative and providing training programmes for the state’s workforce in areas of South Korean expertise.
