    The Office of the Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, has confirmed that the Minister’s WhatsApp account has been hacked, falling into the hands of unauthorised individuals.

    In a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Press, Folashade Boriowo, the public has been urged to disregard any messages sent from the compromised account. Boriowo also reassured that the incident has been reported to security agencies, who are now investigating the breach.

    We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause and urge everyone to disregard any message of request received from the said number until further notice,”  the statement read.

    The Ministry of Education is collaborating with relevant authorities to resolve the situation and has called on the public to remain cautious about possible scams. Any suspicious activity related to the hacked account should be reported immediately.
