The organised labour in Nigeria has suspended the indefinite nationwide strike which began on Tuesday, November 14.
This is coming a few hours after the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong, met leaders of the organised labour to resolve issues leading to the nationwide strike.
The NSA had earlier pleaded with leaders of NLC,TUC and its various arms to rescind its decisions on the ongoing strike, adding that the attackers of Ajaero had been arrested.
The President of TUC, Festus Osifo, who led the labour unions to the NSA’s office, said their deliberations with the federal government officials would be taken to their respective organs and they would communicate accordingly
The labour unions took to the streets over the alleged brutalisation of its National President, Joe Ajaero, and the failure of the government to implement some of the agreements reached on October 2, 2023.
