Super Eagles of Nigeria attacker, Paul Onuachu has emerged the Player of the Season in Belgium.
Onuachu who scored 33 goals in 38 games also won the “Golden Bull” award given to the player with the highest number of goals for the season.
The lanky attacker was regularly on the scoresheet for his side KRC Genk and also registered a strong streak in his last two matches for the Super Eagles including a winner against Benin Republic in Porto-Novo.
With his 33 goals in the league this term, he is the top scorer in a single season in the league’s history and is the highest-scoring Nigerian in Europe, in a season Nigerian attackers gave good accounts of themselves. He also helped Genk to winning the Belgian Cup as they also booked a place in the Champions League playoffs.
Onuachu has been invited as part of 22 players for Nigeria’s friendly against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Austria next week.
