Nigeria's PDP Denounces Election Violence and Ballot Box Snatching (News Central TV)

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria has announced the suspension of several members of the party, including former Governors Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and Pius Anyim of Ebonyi State, over alleged anti-party activities.

The suspension, which takes effect immediately, was approved by the National Working Committee of the PDP on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

The NWC also approved the suspension of the following:

  1. Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti State)
  2. Sen. Pius Anyim (Ebonyi State)
  3. Prof. Dennis Ityavyar (Benue State)
  4. Dr. Aslam Aliyu (Zamfara State)

The NWC has also referred the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, to the National Disciplinary Committee for his reported involvement in anti-party activities. The PDP called on all members to remain united and focused at this critical time.
