President Bola Tinubu arrived in Beijing, China, on Sunday for an official state visit and to attend the ninth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
As disclosed by the president’s special assistant on social media, Dada Olusegun, the summit is themed “Joining Hands to Advance Modernisation and Build High-Level China-Africa Community with Shared Future. “
During the visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with President Xi Jinping, discuss with Chinese business leaders, and work towards enhancing economic collaboration and attracting investments to Nigeria.
Additionally, he will visit prominent Chinese firms like Huawei Technologies and the China Railway and Construction Corporation to expedite the completion of the Ibadan-Abuja segment of the Lagos-Kano rail project.
President Tinubu is also expected to meet with the top brass of Chinese major corporations to enter agreements on oil and gas, aluminium production, seaport development, finance, and satellite technology.
